Vertical striped wallpapers make rooms appear taller. The lines running upwards automatically guide the eye upwards, creating the impression of higher ceilings. This is why vertical stripes are often used in rooms with low ceilings, such as bedrooms, hallways, or smaller living rooms.
In contrast, horizontal striped wallpapers create a visual widening of the room. The lines run sideways and make walls appear longer. This design is particularly suitable for narrow rooms or long hallways, as it makes the room feel more open and spacious.
